General Description
CAPA is seeking a Director of Marketing to lead all aspects of marketing strategy for the company. This includes identifying opportunities to launch new products and to enter new markets; managing marketing budgets; directing creative and project management; identifying technology and marketing partners; conducting market research studies; and building and overseeing the company's marketing staff and outsourced vendors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, deliver and drive marketing policies, practices and strategies to attract students and institutional partners to the company website and online presence and to effectively promote CAPA’s wide range of products and services.
  • Provide short- and long-term market forecasts and reports by directing market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data.
  • Influence present and future products by researching and evaluating current and future market trends.
  • Own the concept of lead development and nurturing to engage contacts at each stage along the buyer’s journey.
  • Develop and execute innovative, integrated marketing plans and campaigns from strategy and concept through production and delivery.
  • Oversee all e-marketing content and exploration of various sales channels and market segments.
  • Integrate product releases, partnership opportunities, and advertising campaigns into a cohesive consumer strategy and narrative.
  • Create and manage marketing content calendar for campaigns, events, announcements and more.
  • Work across all company functions and departments to infuse the CAPA brand into everything we do.
  • Achieve financial objectives by preparing and managing an annual budget.
  • Hire, coach and mentor a team of marketing professionals, while rolling up your sleeves to contribute hands-on wherever necessary.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of Marketing experience, working closely with sales in managing the pipeline
  • Strong leadership skills with at least 5 years of people management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher; MBA a plus
  • Passion for developing and communicating clear roadmaps to senior leadership (e.g. VPs, C-level, etc.) and staff
  • Demonstrable success establishing and achieving business goals
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members within the company
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Strong budget and project management skills
  • Experience in vendor and contract negotiation; writing creative briefs, directing and managing agencies and freelancers to develop creative materials
  • Experience with marketing technology and platforms including: marketing automation platforms (e.g. HubSpot), CRM (e.g., Salesforce), Google Analytics, and social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.)
  • Ability to travel domestically as necessary (10%)
  • Prior experience marketing to university students preferred

Hours of Work

This is a full-time role. Standard office hours are between 9:00am - 5:30pm, Monday – Friday. Due to the nature of this leadership role and the study abroad field, weekend and evening work is sometimes required.

General Description

The Global Education Specialist and Registrar provides a variety of support services to the Global Academic Management Team (GAMT) and CAPA faculty, as well as ongoing training and updates to the marketing, institutional relations, admissions, and program management teams.  This position is responsible for all aspects of enrollment management. The following are areas of responsibility for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learning and Teaching Initiatives
    • Support development and implementation of student learning and development outcomes, globally networked learning, My Global Education, global seminars, global institutes, and global internship program
    • Train and communicate regularly with US-based marketing, institutional relations, admissions, and program management staff on these topics and initiatives
    • Provide data collection from course evaluations, end-of-term evaluation, and other surveys as needed
  • Global Technology
    • Support faculty, staff, and students in Canvas learning management system training and troubleshooting through helpline and training materials
    • Work closely with the Director of Academic Technology and Globally Networked Learning and other academic staff to implement globally networked learning and Canvas-based learning activities
  • SOR and LOR
    • Transmit new and revised course syllabi to SORs for approval; maintain updates
    • Maintain relationships with appropriate offices at SUNY Oswego
    • Request LOR access for new faculty and students
    • Verify LOR invoices
  • Course Offerings and Enrollments
    • Maintain updated records and publications of course offerings, descriptions, syllabi, and historical data on enrollments
    • Update courses on the company website
    • Participate in enrollment committee with academic directors to provide necessary data to determine course selection, promotion, scheduling, and enrollments
    • Collect course preferences and advise students on courses in their location including language requirements, textbooks, and cultural considerations
  • Grades and Transcripts
    • Manage grade reporting transfer from Canvas to Salesforce
    • Send grades to institutions and schools of record
    • Respond to student and alumni grade and transcript requests and queries
    • Foster effective working relationships with schools of record, offices of international programs, and registrar offices
  • Global Academic Management Team
    • Provide administrative support to the Vice President for Academic Affairs
    • Schedule monthly team meetings
    • Record meetings via video conferencing and take notes during live meetings
    • Liaise between academic directors and US-based staff
    • Support academic directors as needed
  • Academic Advisory Board
    • Assist Vice President for Academic Affairs and AAB Chair in communications with the board
    • Organize and support meetings with advisory board including annual event in Boston and mid-year virtual meeting
    • Arrange dinner/social event, assist with travel arrangements and process travel reimbursements
    • Maintain updated AAB SOP

Skills and Experience

  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Strong administrative skills and ability to generate and analyze data
  • Experience with Salesforce or another data management system
  • Experience with Canvas or another learning management system
  • Prior experience working with university administrators, faculty and students

General Description

The Institutional Relations Manager (IRM) is a sales role focused on business development as well as maintaining and growing existing institutional partner relationships within a region designated by CAPA. We are seeking someone ideally based in Boston or within driving distance of the Chicago area. If outside of Massachusetts, a remote work arrangement is required.  

The IRM will work with CAPA’s current partners to approve CAPA programs, recruit students to CAPA programs, and to develop custom and partnership programs at our CAPA centers. The IRM will also be responsible for cultivating new institutional partners and helping institutions build a learning abroad strategy for their faculty and students with CAPA.

The ideal candidate will be a target-driven strategic thinker who is highly self-motivated but also able to collaborate and function as a productive team member across departments. This position reports to the Vice President of Institutional Relations and Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consult with U.S. colleges and universities to create partnership and affiliate agreements with CAPA through our semester and short-term summer study abroad and internship programs.
  • Create customized program opportunities with institutions at our Global City center locations, utilizing extensive knowledge and expertise in academics, internships, service-learning, and student services.
  • Support our partner institutions including occasionally attending study abroad fairs and related university events to promote CAPA’s programs and institutional services.
  • Develop, establish, and maintain relationships with study abroad professionals, administrators, and faculty at partner institutions.
  • Attend and present papers and sessions at national and regional conferences.
  • Work in conjunction with multiple departments within CAPA, both domestic and international, to support our current partnerships and to look for opportunities to generate new ones.
  • Assist partners by guiding their program development efforts, supporting recruitment, communicating CAPA updates, handling special requests, and providing creative solutions to complex programming.
  • Travel domestically 25-40% of the year, depending on peak seasons. 

Skills and Experience

Required

  • Proven track record of success in sales arena, consistently exceeding targets
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
  • High level of competitive drive, self-motivation, enthusiasm, and flexibility

  • Comfortable working both independently and in a team environment, within and across departments to meet established target-based performance goals

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and comfortable working in a contact management system and other database applications, ideally Salesforce

CAPA The Global Education Network is seeking an intern for the Office of the President. This position will be responsible for assisting with duties related to the support of our Best Buddies Challenge team, the MTeam.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work in conjunction with the Executive Assistant to the President in the management and development of the MTeam and its activities

  • Maintain team social media and update website

  • Assist with the brainstorming and development of ideas as well as draft content

  • Internet research to collect and organize content for social media engagement

  • Assist with event coordination

  • General administrative duties and other assigned duties as necessary related to the MTeam

Specifically

  • Assist in the management of the MTeam member list

  • Email new member pack, surveys, other communications related to the team

  • Maintain MTeam Facebook, Twitter and web page highlighting donors, Best Buddies, FoxG1, people with intellectual and development disabilities (IDD) as well as business owned by people with IDDs to raise awareness and funds

  • Assist in the coordination of team events (spinathons, casino night spring gala, summer soiree)

  • Manage the training calendar for rides and runs

Qualifications

  • Administrative, customer service, marketing or sales experience would be helpful

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • High level of self-motivation, enthusiasm, and flexibility

  • Strong customer service orientation and understanding of diverse audiences

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and follow through

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Hours of Work:

The position is for 10-15 hours per week. The schedule is flexible but mainly Monday through Friday except for three Saturdays from March - June. There is the potential for extending the internship into the summer months.

The CAPA Barcelona program is based at the IAU center on Carrer de Pelai. Students have the opportunity to enroll in courses taught by CAPA and IAU or CAPA-hosted programs with courses taught by visiting US faculty.  Part-time unpaid internships for academic credit are also offered. In all cases, academic credit is granted by the student’s US institution or CAPA’s school of record in the US.  In addition to the academic programming, CAPA also provides housing, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, and a full 24-hour on-site support and advising program. 

General Description

CAPA is currently seeking a part-time independent contractor to provide student and program services for its Barcelona Program on a semesterly basis. The contractor will arrange program services and logistics, internship placements, and other student support services as required, in collaboration with another senior-level part-time contractor. This contract would be for 20 hours per week on average with flexibility required for busy periods like program arrivals.

Scope of Services:

Program Support Services

  • Assist with event planning, specifically arrival and departure events, mid-semester dinners and other celebrations.
  • Contribute to program-specific weekly emails to all students with detailed information regarding program updates and general announcements.
  • Book student activities, excursions and course related visits.
  • Support visiting US lecturers where relevant, including organizing field studies for individual programs, making bookings, and maintaining program-related communications to students and faculty.
  • Create and maintain field trip-related documents for students and faculty.
  • Create and distribute welcome packs for visiting US lecturers.

Student Services

  • Arrange airport transfers and housing check-ins, lead walking tours and program cultural activities, deliver academic and general orientation sessions, organize program receptions and dinners.
  • In collaboration with the senior consultant, respond to student queries and problems as they arise; and utilize internal and external support services when necessary.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call assistance to students in the event of emergency situations; includes carrying the CAPA emergency phone on a rotational basis.
  • Assist with organizing CAPA-sponsored student events such as game nights, CAPA tea time, and language exchange.
Internship Support Services
  • Assist with student data management, including the organization, filing and maintenance of student passport/visa/documentation.
  • Assist with researching and reaching out to potential new sites to secure a data base of potential placements.

Requirements

  • High level of proficiency in English and Spanish language
  • Highly developed communication and presentation skills with experience in public speaking
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalency
  • Proven ability to remain calm under pressure and in problem solving challenging situations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
