Explore the diversity of cosmopolitan Shanghai with our My Global City events: discover Shanghai’s hidden SoHo full of craft shops and cafes, marvel at the architecture in the Old French Concession, or go people watching at Nanjing Road pedestrian street.

You’ll live in off-campus housing within a 30 minute commute from campus.

Take contextual courses taught in English or in Mandarin. Note: you are required to take a non-credit survival Mandarin course if you are not competent in the language.

Program Inclusions

  • TuitionEarn 6 credits per term (courses are 3 credits unless otherwise noted.) Credits are issued by State University of New York (SUNY) Oswego.
  • HousingYou’ll live in off-campus housing within a 30 minute commute from campus.
  • Local Transit PassA local transit pass for Shanghai metro and buses.
  • ActivitiesSocial events including an arrival reception and a farewell ceremony.
  • InternshipParticipate in a part-time internship opportunity, earn 3-6 credits and gain valuable skills. Placements are available in English language. Note: 6 credit internship requires you to intern on evenings and weekends. Note: Internships in Shanghai require a visa.
  • My Global CityThis program offers a variety of immersive social experiences throughout your program such as visiting the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, or exploring the art scene at Tianzifang Arts and Crafts.
