This six-week online summer program provides students with the opportunity to study human rights and focus on the specific area of wrongful conviction under the direction of Justin Brooks, founder of the California Innocence Project. The program looks comparatively at human rights and the criminal justice systems in the UK and the US.

The Wrongful Conviction program is comprised of two courses: Wrongful Conviction (LNDN PSCI 3121) and Global Perspectives on Human Rights in Action (LNDN HSCI/HIST 3121). You may also take other courses from across CAPA locations.

Online programming utilizes CAPA’s Globally Networked Learning technology delivered through Canvas, creating a seamless online learning experience.
Virtual My Global City events across CAPA’s global cities are available to all summer students taking at least one course. Events vary by week and may include a virtual pub trivia in Sydney, online cooking class in Florence, a virtual city tour of London, and much more! Plus, students will have access to guest lectures, professional networking events, LinkedIn toolbox professional development sessions, and extracurricular activities such as virtual book clubs.
