Paris has been a major center of education for international students ever since Robert de Sorbonne founded the university, which still bears his name, in 1253. The CAPA Paris Center offers students and faculty superior facilities on the Left Bank.
The Center is a modern building equipped with state of the art facilities specifically designed for educational use. CAPA partners with The Alliance Francaise, a non-profit government supported institute of higher education founded in 1883 to promote the French language. Each month some 2000 students from 150 countries register at the Alliance.
The Paris Center has fully equipped classrooms, a faculty office, wireless internet access and access to computer laboratories. The CAPA Paris Center is well served by public transport with easy access to all parts of the city.
The CAPA Paris Center is a busy place with a strong sense of community. The student population is highly diverse which contributes to a rich intercultural experience. Regular activities encourage interaction between students from the many institutions represented on campus. These include outings to museums, concerts and lectures, as well as special events such as holiday dinners, picnics, and walking tours covering lesser-known parts of the city.
Students live in homestays with local families, or in shared apartments within commuting distance. Summer programs can also take advantage of dormitory style accommodations.
