Stacia Zukroff Biel holds a BA in Spanish and Latin American Studies from Bates College and Masters Degree in International and Intercultural Management from The School for International Training.  As an undergraduate Stacia studied abroad for a year in Spain and did an eight-week short term program in Ecuador and Peru.  After graduating from college she lived abroad in Spain for an additional 2.5 years. She is fluent in Spanish.

Stacia has been working in the field of international education since
1992, beginning with a high school exchange program in Barcelona and
then working as a study abroad and exchange advisor at Central
Washington University from 1994-98.  She then spent 8 years as a study
abroad advisor and then director of education abroad at Babson College
before taking an institutional relations position with The Scholar Ship
in 2006.

Stacia has been involved in leadership positions with NAFSA: Association of International Educators for several years, having served as the Education Abroad representative to the Subcommittee on Information Management and is now the incoming chair for the Education Abroad Knowledge Community.  Stacia also chairs and leads for a volunteer adventure travel program through the Appalachian Mountain Club. She is also involved with the Boston area study abroad advisors group (BASAA) and its annual re-entry conference.
